The Story
This charming ring dates to around 1780-1800. A step-cut natural emerald is set within a two fine borders of rose and yellow gold which are further surrounded by a closed-back engraved silver frame. The bifurcated shoulders are ornately decorated with foliate ornament and taper down towards a grooved shank.
This elegant ring sits flat on the finger and is a very lovely example of Georgian jewellery.
