Antique Garnet Serpent Ring

A charming early 20th-century serpent ring, made in Chester, England, and hallmarked for the year 1918. Crafted in warm, rosy 9K gold, the ring is formed as a sinuous, looping snake, its body wrapping fluidly around the finger in a continuous sculptural line.

The serpent’s head is set with a small round garnet measuring approximately 3 mm, positioned as the “brain” of the snake; a whimsical detail frequently encountered in serpent jewellery of the late Victorian and Edwardian eras.
